Dear Honourable Delegates,
The third session of the Nottingham International Model United Nations Conference will prove to be the most exciting and passionate conference that we have held yet.
For the two previous years we have strived for the very best in Model United Nations and this year is certainly no different. Within two years we have doubled our number of attendees and created more committees in order to accommodate these needs. The word about Nottingham has spread both domestically and around the world. I know that this conference will be an extension of our previous achievements.
This November, we will offer you a wide spectrum of committees that will satisfy the bellicose among us, as well as the pacifists and peace-brokers. In our Secretariat this year are four members from the last conference who, along with the new members, will do whatever is required to make this conference one to remember.
There will be six committees that will present the beginners and the battle-hardened among us with great challenges. We are bringing the fantastic FSC back for those willing to meet the troubles of the future head on. For the more experienced delegates, we will be hosting a Crisis Committee where war and peace could ultimately be decided and a session of the ICJ which will look to test any delegate.
A central part of our conference will be our socials. The popularity of last year’s social events (and indeed the criticisms) have given us food for thought with every view being taken into account. As a result, our Conference Secretary for Socials and Speakers will make sure that the events, including our formal ball, are more exclusive, more exciting and generally more legendary.
For three days this autumn you will get the opportunity to make your voices heard, no matter which country you represent. Throughout this week friendships will form out of the debates, resolutions and parties and hopefully this MUN solidarity will be our greatest achievement this November.
We will continue to update information regularly on this website to make the preparation process for the conference more efficient. Please do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat for any enquiries, details of which can be found on the About Us page.
The Secretariat and I look forward to welcoming you to Nottingham this November.
Yours
Joshua Gottlieb
Secretary General
